Melissa A. McNamee is the founder and managing attorney of VENLAW, P.A., a boutique immigration law firm with offices in Florida and Massachusetts. Practicing exclusively in the field of U.S. immigration law since 2000 and as a licensed attorney since 2006, Melissa brings over two decades of focused experience representing individuals, families, and corporate clients across the globe.
Her practice covers the full spectrum of immigration matters, including employment-based petitions (H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, EB-5), family-based petitions, humanitarian relief (VAWA, U Visas, TPS, asylum), and naturalization. Known for her hands-on approach and deep understanding of the complexities of U.S. immigration, Melissa has built a reputation for solving difficult cases with creativity, integrity, and care.
Melissa frequently speaks on U.S. immigration topics at seminars and webinars in the U.S. and internationally, including presentations in Dubai, Venezuela, Colombia, Nigeria, and Brazil. She has trained law students, mentored interns, and served as a keynote speaker at immigration fundraisers and academic institutions including Harvard University and the University of Miami School of Law.
In addition to managing a high-volume private practice, Melissa served as a Board Member and Clinic Coordinator for Justice for Our Neighbors (JFON), leading pro bono efforts in Massachusetts and managing a docket of complex humanitarian cases for low-income clients. She previously chaired the immigration department at The Wagner Law Group, a national benefits firm, and served as corporate immigration counsel at Novell, Inc., where she oversaw global immigration and relocation matters.
Melissa holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, an M.S. in Public Affairs from UMass Boston (with a thesis on immigrants and public benefits), and a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from Boston University. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
